Welcome to Class 1 with Miss Johnson and Miss McMullin!

Wow, what a wonderful start to the Autumn Term we had! The children have all settled in beautifully and are confident with our rules and routines. Looking forward into the next half term, we will soon be starting to learn the songs for our Christmas Play and we will send details of your child's role in the production as soon as possible. We also have our school trip to Cannock Chase to look forward to. Not only this, but we have a jam packed term full of exciting learning opportunities and adventures.
We would like to thank parents and carers for attending the Phonics Open Evening, we had so many positive comments from the evening and we are glad you found it supportive. If you were unable to make it, please contact us and we will arrange an alternative appointment.

Note to Parents: Miss McMullin and I have an open door policy. Any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to make an appointment to speak to us.

This term we will be learning about:

We will also be learning about People Who Help Us.

Our Weekly Routine Reminders:
Our PE Days are:
- Monday and Wednesday. Please ensure that your child's PE kit is in school and ensure that any earrings are removed prior to the lessons.
 - We will be allocating reading books and diaries to your child after we have carried out our baseline assessments. Please try and read with your child as much as possible in short bursts (e.g. 5 minutes per day). Please sign your child's reading diaries to let us know how they are getting on, then we will be able to change their books.

Things to look out for this half term:

We will be having a "Get Active Day" and will be asking parents/carers to support your child by finding sponsors for our Sponsored Walk. The money we raise will then be put into our Physical Development Outdoor Equipment.
