What is the PTFA?
The PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association) and all its helpers are a group of volunteers who give their time to organise fundraising events for the School. It’s all about creating magical fun moments that the children will enjoy and remember school for. It could be a school disco, a Christmas Fair or a Summer Fete. Whatever the event, seeing the children’s faces light up with pride as they show off their school to the community inspires us to get involved in the PTFA. The funds that are raised are extremely important to the school and its promise to provide an environment to motivate our children to learn and grow.
What could you do?
There are lots of things you can do:
- Join the PTFA group!
- Spread the word about the PTFA events.
- Maybe volunteer to help out at events.
- Give us your fundraising ideas.
- Some of the busier people with less time to spare contribute in other ways, giving raffle prizes or items for us to use to raise funds and some have certain skills that really come in handy from time to time.
Why not ‘Like’ and stay in touch with the PTFA on the Facebook page.
The PTA committee meetings are very informal held at the school or alternative venue. They take place as and when required, usually no more than twice a term. An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held each September/October, during which a chairperson, secretary and treasurer are elected to represent the association throughout the forthcoming academic year.
