Early Years Curriculum

Introduction to the Early Years Foundation Stage

The Early Years Foundation Stage is a statutory framework that sets high standards for the learning, development and care of pupils from birth to five years old. There are four key principles of the EYFS, which shape our practice as teachers.

At St. John's EYFS setting, we provide a 'Pupil Centred' approach that engages pupils through their interests, meaningful contexts and through celebrating all of our differences. We actively encourage strong parent-partnerships that enable your child to grow and develop whilst at the same time feel safe, secure and happy at school.

If you are interested in sending your child to our Nursery, please contact the office for a 'stay and play' morning or find the relevant documents on the Nursery page
