Schools unite as Holy Trinity Catholic Multi Academy CompanyHoly Trinity MAC Logo

Today (29th February) sees the closure of St John’s Catholic Primary School as a maintained Voluntary-aided school within Staffordshire County Council.

Tomorrow (1st March) we will re-open as St John’s Catholic Primary School, part of ‘Holy Trinity Catholic Multi Academy Company’ along with:

St Austin’s Catholic Primary School, St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, Blessed Mother Teresa’s Catholic Primary School, St Dominic’s Catholic Primary School in Stone, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Brewood and St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School, Blessed   William Howard Catholic High School

Our school will retain its own identity, so there is no change to school uniform.  However, the new logo will now be used,  this logo represents all of the member schools coming together as one.  This is an exciting opportunity to work in new, different ways; improving the educational opportunities in all our schools, together.

Shortly, we will be asking for two parent representatives to sit on the Board of Directors of the MAC which will be conducted through an election process.  Our school’s Academy Committee will also require two parent members, which again will be through an elected voting system.  More information on this will be sent out in the near future.

Each school has its own Academy Committee, which replaced the former Governing Body. The ‘Holy Trinity’ is governed by a Board of Directors, who have a strategic role, determining policies and allocated resources over the entire company. The company exists to promote a collaborative and supportive ethos amongst the schools.

The Academy committee comprises of Foundation governors, appointed by the Archdiocese, Staff governors (teaching and ancillary) and a Parent governor. Day-to-day leadership and management of the school is delegated to the Committee of Principals / Headteacher who are responsible for ensuring that the religious character of the school is maintained, developed and enhanced through a high quality curriculum, whilst securing commitment to the vision of the school in accordance with all school policies.
