Black History Month

Black History Month is marked annually, where recognising and valuing the inspirational individuals and events that have shaped the black generation takes a focus within our classrooms. During Black History Month, we remember and celebrate the important people from the past and also those who contribute to and help our society today.

In their RHE lessons, Class 4 have been learning about Alma Woodsey Thomas, a Black female artist who was the first Black woman to have her artwork displayed in the White House. They have thought carefully about the CST of Human Dignity and how everyone, regardless of race should be able to access the same opportunities.

Below are some examples of Class 4's creations.
