  • The Glasgow Gruffalo - Recommended Read

    Fri 29 Nov 2019

This week's recommended read comes in celebration of St. Andrew's Day this Saturday. Mrs Cornes recommends 'The Glasgow Gruffalo'. She read this to Class 2 and they absolutely loved it! They have been trying to perfect their Glaswegian accents all afternoon.

  • Glass Art Workshop

    Thu 28 Nov 2019

Naomi Jacques, a contemporary glass artist conducted a fantastic glass art workshop with our Class 3 children as part of their curriculum vehicle. The children then got to design and create their very own canal-themed art using glass. These amazing finished products will be displayed at our Art Exhibition in December. The workshop was a great success and the children discovered the many uses of glass in the process.

  • Marvellous Me!

    Thu 28 Nov 2019

Today Class One hosted their wonderful interactive museum 'Marvellous Me', showcasing all of their amazing learning this term. We would like to thank all of the parents, carers and other special guests for coming and supporting the class today. It was lovely to see so many people asking the children about their learning stations. Hopefully, parents, carers and special guests have learned lots of fascinating facts today! 😁

  • Super Tato Adventures!

    Thu 21 Nov 2019

Class One children have been learning all about the book 'Super Tato' this week. Early this morning we received an urgent letter asking for our assistance at the Canalside Farm Shop.  We had a super mission to go and find all of the evil peas that were causing havoc for the kind staff in the shop and help all of the vegetables that were in distress! We really enjoyed looking at all of the amazing different types of fruit and vegetables in the shop. We would like to give a huge thank you to all of the farm shop staff for sharing all of their knowledge with us!

  • Junk Music!

    Mon 18 Nov 2019

Last Friday, Class 1 and 2 had a fun-filled day of music!  We invited the very talented Lauren to join us, who is part of 'The Junk Orchestra'. Our pupils saw how junk can be transformed into musical instruments and enjoyed an amazing workshop that consisted of playing and making upcycled instruments. We think we have many budding musicians in Class 1 and 2!

  • Sensory Adventures for Class 1

    Tue 12 Nov 2019

This week in Class 1 we are learning all about our senses. This morning we went on a sensory walk around our local area identifying what we could see, hear, smell and feel. When we returned to school we got to taste a scrumptious hot chocolate with marshmallows, the best way to warm up!
