As a Catholic school we lay great emphasis on the sacredness and uniqueness of every child. It is a privilege to help our children to grow and develop, to prepare for the future. We aim to facilitate and form the whole child, to feed the child’s heart and the mind.  We welcome applications from families of other faiths and explore other religions and beliefs as part of our curriculum.

We are located right next to the beautiful St John's RC church and frequently get to use this wonderful venue for worship or other community led events.

In February 2026 we gained the CAFOD Live Simply Award. 

We are delighted to share that we have achieved the Live Simply Award validating that we are living simply, sustainably, and in solidarity with the world’s poorest communities.

The award, championed by overseas development charity CAFOD, was presented to St John's Catholic Primary School after we successfully planned and implemented faith inspired actions that highlighted the importance of caring for people and the planet.

Our actions driven by our children as leaders have had a positive impact throughout our school, in our local community, and globally too, as we reach out to make a difference.
