Black History Month
Thu 05 Oct 2023Black History Month is marked annually, where recognising and valuing the inspirational individuals and events that have shaped the black generation takes a focus within our classrooms. During Black History Month, we remember and celebrate the important people from the past and also those who contribute to and help our society today.
In their RHE lessons, Class 4 have been learning about Alma Woodsey Thomas, a Black female artist who was the first Black woman to have her artwork displayed in the White House. They have thought carefully about the CST of Human Dignity and how everyone, regardless of race should be able to access the same opportunities.
Below are some examples of Class 4's creations.

St Theresa
Fri 29 Sep 2023This week we have focused upon the life of St Therese of Lisieux and joined in with the celebration of the Little Way Week which is inspired by her actions. As a child, St Thérèse dreamed of being a missionary. With age, she understood that very few of us are called to make big and radical gestures, but that through small, loving actions we too can deliver God’s love to the world.

The Rainbow Fish
Fri 22 Sep 2023Class 1 have really enjoyed learning about The Rainbow Fish this week 🐟 We have been discussing good and bad choices and how these can make people feel. We also noticed The Rainbow Fish had beautiful coloured scales and we wanted to create our own Rainbow Fish but we only had red, yellow and blue paint - it was amazing to see the children exploring the paint and
experimenting with mixing colours to create new colours. -
