  • Delicious Diwali!

    This week in Class One we are learning all about Diwali and celebrating the wonderful Festival of Lights. It is traditional when celebrating Diwali to give sweets and gifts to friends and family. We are so excited to welcome guests to our school's Open Morning tomorrow and we have spent the morning making Diwali brownies to share with them. 
    We have also received traditional Indian sweets, yummy samosas and beautiful Indian clothing to look at from Jai's family! Thank you so much!

  • Comfy Friday!

    All of the children here at St. John's are having an extremely comfy Friday. Each child has dressed in their pyjamas to raise money for our charity 'Mary's Meals'. The idea for the fundraising event was suggested and organised by our Year 6 pupil Joe. Thank you to all of our families for their contributions and support.

    Class 2 have had a great time watching each others filmed weather reports for their geography homework this week. Many thanks to all parents for sharing the homemade videos, they were extremely entertaining!

     

  • Olympian gives Inspiration to Pupils

    Kristian Thomas, Olympic gymnast, came into school today to inspire the children about sport and fitness.  He talked to the school about the importance of not giving up on your dreams and also treated the children to a demonstration of his talents!

     

  • People Who Care for Us

    Yesterday in Class One we were discussing and thinking about people who care for us. ❤️
    We were so excited to make special stones for our prayer table. Each of the stones represent people who love and care for us. We made stones to represent God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit, Mary, John The Baptist, Father Julian and Deacon Michael.

  • World Mental Health Day

    This week in Class One we have been studying the amazing book 'The Colour Monster'. We have been identifying our emotions and talking about how to manage them.


    For 'World Mental Health Day'  we made calming bottles that help us to calm down if we might feel angry or sad. We love watching the glitter and the bubbles travel up and down the bottle!

  • Grandparent's Day Lunch

    It was lovely to see such a fantastic turnout for our Grandparent's lunch on Thursday 3rd October. We would like to thank all the grandparents for making this event such a great success. The children enjoyed sharing this experience with their family. 

  • Class 4 visit Jaguar Land Rover Education

    Lucky Class 4 got to visit Jaguar Land Rover Education, in Wolverhampton, as a launch to their new Curriculum Vehicle - The Power of Robotics.The children had the fantastic opportunity to witness robotic power in action when they toured the factory. They really enjoyed observing how quickly the robots could assemble an engine. Afterwards they got to work in teams to plan and create their very own engines!
